Farmers are on the harvest home stretch, which is always good cause for celebration. All the beans in Minnesota were in over a week ago, and as of Monday (11/8) almost all of the U.S. soybean crop was reported in (92%). Corn growers were really haulin’ it in last week, and as of Monday, the U.S. corn crop was 87% in. With the good weather we’ve had, I’m sure the last standing corn I saw on my drive from here to Fargo last week is now in the bin. So to celebrate and say, “Congratulations!,” we created this little photo-video montage. Sit back and enjoy. We’ll worry about the yield reports and markets tomorrow.

You’ve captured the energy around haves.
Bev – Thanks! I appreciate you commenting on the blog post. Yes, “high-energy” certainly describes the harvest season. Look forward to catching up sometime soon. Until then, have a merry Christmas!

Joan –
Thanks!

Scott,
Very nice images! Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff! (NAMA-award-winnning?!?) I love harvest time – I love the smell, love the big machinery, I even don’t mind all the dust that makes its way into my house!
Kenna – Thanks for commenting on my blog post! We obviously get excited about harvest time as well. Whenever I drive by and see the combines running I start hunting for my camera. When the kids aren’t in school, one of our favorite activities is “combine chasing.” We grab a camera, jump in the mini-van and go running up and down the side roads looking for combines to shoot. I love the crisp air, the fall colors and the smell and sound of diesel engines running!
Very nice! I’d like to invite you to post this on http://www.BeckAgConnects.com so our community of ag professionals can enjoy it too!
MIke – Thanks for your note!
I wholeheartedly concur!
I hope your family had a safe and productive harvest.
Take care.

Great Job Shawn and Scott!
I’m no farmer, but my in-laws are and have run a successful operation going on 4 generations. Now more then ever we need to salute the farmers that grow the food we all enjoy!
Nice job and great images as always!
